Terms
How our quotes, building and installation work. The written quote for your job always sets out the detail, and where it differs from this page, the quote wins.

About these terms
Bespoke Joinery NE is a joinery and kitchen installation business based in County Durham. These terms cover using this website and the work we carry out for you. If you have a question about them, email info@bespokejoineryne.co.uk or ring 07586 653153.
Design visits and quotes
The design visit and written quote are free, with no obligation to go ahead. Your quote sets out the work, the materials, the price, how long the price holds and when payments are due. Only what is in the written quote is included.
Sending a quote request through this website does not create a contract. It lets us contact you to arrange a visit. The contract starts when you accept the written quote.
Measurements and drawings
We take the final measurements ourselves before anything is made or ordered. Drawings and 3D renders show the layout and look of the job. Small differences can happen on site because walls are rarely square and floors are rarely level, and we scribe and adjust units to suit the room.
Once you sign off the drawings and the order is placed or the build starts in our workshop, changes may cost extra or move the install date. We will always tell you the cost before making a change.
Furniture we build
Fitted furniture, media walls and under stair units are made locally in our workshop in the North East. Timber is a natural material, so grain and colour vary from piece to piece and from any sample. Painted finishes are matched as closely as possible to the colour chosen.
Kitchens and materials from suppliers
Kitchen ranges, door styles and colours come from our trade partners and can change or be discontinued. Colours on screen can look different from the real finish, so always check a physical sample before ordering. Delivery dates from suppliers are outside our control. If a supplier is late or sends a damaged item, we will let you know straight away and rearrange the work.
Goods we supply stay ours until they are paid for in full.
If you supply the kitchen or materials
For installation only jobs, please check deliveries are complete and undamaged before we arrive. We are not responsible for missing, faulty or damaged parts supplied by someone else, or for delays they cause. Extra visits caused by missing parts may be charged, and we will agree this with you first.
Before we start
- clear the room, or let us know if you need help with this
- give us access to the property, power, water and somewhere to park or unload
- tell us about anything we should know, such as pipes or cables in the walls, or a property that is rented or listed
- arrange any permission needed from a landlord, freeholder or the council
Older houses and hidden problems
Older houses are not always straightforward. Taking out old fittings can uncover rotten floors, old pipework, damp or wiring that needs attention. If we find something like this, we will stop, explain it and agree any extra work and cost with you before carrying on.
Other trades
Where your job needs electrical or gas work, it is carried out by our NICEIC registered electrician and Gas Safe engineer. Where we project manage plasterers, decorators or other trades, this is set out in your quote.
Timings
We give you a start date and an expected length for the work. We will keep you updated if anything changes. Delays caused by suppliers, bad weather, illness or problems found in the property can move dates, and we will rearrange as quickly as we can.
Waste and cleaning
We take away the waste from our work and leave the room clean at handover. Removal of anything outside the work in your quote, such as old furniture from other rooms, needs agreeing first.
Your right to cancel
If you agree a contract with us in your home or away from our premises, you normally have 14 days to cancel without giving a reason. If you ask us to start work or order made to measure items within those 14 days, you may have to pay for work done and costs already incurred. To cancel, email or ring us.
When something is not right
At handover we walk you through the work. If anything is not right, then or later, tell us and we will come back and put it right. Manufacturer guarantees on appliances, worktops and supplied units are passed on to you. This does not cover damage from misuse, normal wear, or changes made by someone else.
Information and photographs on this website
We keep the information on this site as accurate as we can, but it is general information and not a quote. Photographs show jobs we have carried out. Where a kitchen was supplied by another company, we installed it rather than designed it. With your permission, we may photograph finished work to show on this site and our social media.
