Bespoke Joinery NE is run by Matt, a time served cabinet maker working across County Durham and the North East.

We would rather do fewer jobs properly than more of them quickly.
Matt served his time as a cabinet maker and has been on the tools for over twenty years. Bespoke Joinery NE was established in 2018 and grew out of that manufacturing and installation side rather than out of a showroom.
We measure the room ourselves, source and make the products all local in the North East and Matt works very closely on the project day by day.
That matters more than it sounds. Old houses are rarely square, floors are rarely level, and unforeseen issues arise regularly. We rectify whatever we find underneath rather than covering it up.
With a small dedicated team all areas of our work is done to the highest standard from start to finish which is why our customers keep reviewing us so highly.

How we work
Six things we do on every job, whether it is a full kitchen or a set of alcove shelves.
The same faces throughout
Matt is on every job. The electrician, plasterer and decorator are people we work with week in and week out, not an outside crew subcontracted in for the day.
One written price
A fixed written quote covering the units, the trades and the making good. It does not move once you have signed it off, and nothing gets added halfway through.
Registered trades, certified
NICEIC registered electrician and Gas Safe engineer on the jobs that need them, with certificates issued afterwards rather than promised and forgotten.
Dates agreed and kept
We tell you when we are starting and when we are finishing before anything comes out, and we turn up. If something changes you hear it from us first.
The house left as we found it
Sheeted up, dust kept down, rubbish taken away and the room swept before we leave. You should not be cleaning up after somebody you have paid.
What we take on
Kitchens are the biggest part of what we do, but the work that keeps people coming back is usually smaller. An alcove unit becomes coving, then panelling, then new doors throughout, then a utility the following spring.

Trade accounts with three suppliers, plus Benchmarx and Magnet, so the range and the budget are matched to you rather than to whichever brand we happen to sell.

NICEIC registered electrician
All electrical work carried out and certified by a registered electrician, whether that is a full kitchen rewire or lighting inside a wardrobe.

Gas Safe engineer
Hobs, boilers and anything else gas handled by a Gas Safe registered engineer, with the certificates issued to you afterwards.
