Kitchens and fitted joinery in Sunderland

Made locally in the North East and installed by the same small team.
We work across Sunderland and Wearside, from full kitchens to fitted bedrooms, under stair storage and media walls.

Joinery measured for Sunderland homes,
then made to fit the room properly.

Made to measure fitted wardrobes for a Durham bedroom
Made to measure joinery installed across Sunderland and nearby areas.

Sunderland homes range from colliery terraces and Victorian houses to newer estates around the edge of the city. The room on paper is rarely the room we find when we measure it, so we never rely on standard sizes.

We measure every room ourselves and make the work to suit it. Units are scribed to the walls and ceiling on site, and anything we uncover when the old fittings come out is put right before the new work goes in.

Where a job needs electrics, gas, plastering or decorating, we bring in the regular trades we work alongside and project manage the lot, so you have one point of contact throughout.

Why Sunderland homeowners choose us

Straightforward working practices taken from the way we already run jobs across the North East.

Over twenty years on the tools

Matt is a time served joiner and remains involved from measuring through to fitting.

The same small team

The people who discuss and measure the job are the people who return to build it.

One fixed written price

The agreed units, trades and making good are set out before work starts.

Registered trades

Electrical work is completed by a NICEIC registered electrician and gas work by a Gas Safe engineer.

Built for the actual room

Floors, walls and ceilings are measured and the work is scribed and adjusted on site.

Dates agreed in advance

Start and finish dates are discussed before anything is removed, with changes communicated directly.

How it works

Four clear steps from the first message to the final walk through.

1

Enquire

Call, email or send photographs on WhatsApp, along with your Sunderland postcode and a rough outline of the job.

2

Measure and quote

We visit the room, measure it properly and prepare a design and fixed written price without charging for the visit.

3

Book

Once the details are agreed, we set the dates and coordinate the materials and any registered trades the job needs.

4

Build and hand over

The same team fits the work, deals with what the room reveals, clears the waste and walks the finished job with you.

Absolutely fantastic service from Matty and his team. When he arrived to put my new kitchen in we discovered my floor had rotted unnoticed due to a leak under the washing machine, and without hesitation it was repaired with no complaints or fuss. Trustworthy, honest and goes above and beyond.

Jeanette LawsonSunderland

Matt is an absolute perfectionist. The quality of his work is outstanding and his attention to detail is to be admired. The ability he has to make complex carpentry adjustments to ensure a perfect fit is amazing. He was joined by Cameron who worked equally as hard.

Chris EdgeCounty Durham

I would recommend this company and give it a 5 star rating from my own personal experience. It was a challenging kitchen to fit but from start to finish Matthew made a professional job. The workmanship is amazing and an honest and very nice lad to have worked with.

Questions about work in Sunderland

Practical answers before you arrange a visit.

Do you cover all of Sunderland?

Yes. We work across Sunderland and Wearside, including Roker, Fulwell, Ashbrooke, Silksworth, Washington and Houghton le Spring. Send us your postcode if you are unsure.

What happens if you find a problem under the old kitchen?

We tell you before going any further. Rotten floors, old pipework and loose plaster are common once old units come out, and we put them right rather than covering them up.

Is the Sunderland design visit free?

Yes. The visit, measure, design and written quote are free, with no obligation at the end of them.

Can you handle electrics, gas and plastering?

Yes. We coordinate our regular NICEIC registered electrician and Gas Safe engineer, plus plastering, tiling and decorating where the job needs them. The relevant electrical and gas certificates are issued afterwards.

Can you install a kitchen I have already bought?

Yes. We offer installation only as well as full design, supply and installation. We check the order and room before starting and tell you if anything is missing or unsuitable.

Where is the furniture made?

Our fitted furniture and joinery is made locally here in the North East, then installed by the same team that measured the room.
